"ARASHI" is a japanese word means storm in english. arashi is made up of 5 talented guys, aiba masaki, sakurai sho, ninomiya kazunari, matsumoto jun and ohno satoshi.

Aiba masaki or aibachan, was born on december 25,1982 ,his hometown is in chiba, japan his father has his own chinese restaurant bisiness. aibachan has 1 younger brother. he had studied at Makuharihongo until middle school only and now he already graduated from a hi-school in tokyo. Aibachan has 3 dogs name kame, uran and atomu. aibachan's close friend is takizawa hideaki(takky). he always sleeps talk at night! and even grind his teeth when he sleeps. he was fomerly in the sub group "MAIN" (MAIN is from the first letter of 4 boys familyname consist of Matsumoto jun, Aiba masaki, Ikuta toma and Ninomiya kazunari). aibachan is called a "Super Idol" because he is one of the top scorer in a "Idol Test" conducted by Johnny's. he had done a comercial together with ninomiyakun and other junior's boy such as Pino cm. his debut tv drama is "Boys Detective" in 1998,he was a co-star with matsujun and yokoyama yu (kansai's jr.) other tv drama such as P.P.O.I (with yamashita tomohisakun) and mukodono (with nagase tomoyasan)

Sakurai sho or shokun or sakuchan or sakurachan, was born on january 25, 1982 a 53th showa year. he has 1 younger sister and 1 little brother he is now studying at keio university in tokyo at economics faculty. he's a smart guy and really talented in rapping, dancinng, and being a DJ of the group.his close friend is yuki kohara (and old jr.) he had his first tv drama called 'tengoku' (with matsuoka masahiro - - -tokio and kato ai)

Ninomiya kazunari or ninokun or kazukun(home name),was born on june 17,1983. he has 1 older sister he studies at some school by remote system in tokyo.he can play guitar, bass, piano and compose lyrics. he's almost grouped to be FIVE because he can play bass but fortunately he became arashi! his favorite sport is bastball, and he really good at it. he has played many dramars as a co-star such as namida o fuite.

Matsumoto jun or matsujun, was born on August 30 1983 he is the youngest member of the group and be the one who had been a longest jr,too. he'd like to study english especially for conversation so that he can speaks english very well but not have time though. this year 2001 he has a new tv drama as a main-star 'kinda ichi' (with hazekawa jun - - -johnny's jr, and suzuki anne)

Ohno satoshi or ochan,he's like a big brother of arashi because he was born in year 1980. he has 1 older sister he is known mostly for his days in "KyotoKyo" which was a theater show in Kyoto a few years ago presented by Johnny's Fantasy. he's a good vocal and be a lead singer of arashi,too. this yera 2001 he his performance program called 'play zone' with shonentai and other guest such as tokio

Debut ARASHI group had been announced on September 16th 1999, on a cruise in Waikiki sea( Hawaii). the announcement was show on tv in Japan, Hawaii also in 10 cities of America, New York, Los Angeles.... first performance of arashi was November 2nd, 1999 at the World Cup Volleyball Tournament in Tokyo and Okoyama stadiums during the opening ceremony and used as the theme song. they debut first single on 3rd november 1999 , name A-RA-SHI c/w Ashita ni mukatte. they have shakehand event at tokyo on that day.their fans went to this event around 80,000! arashi debut single was no.1 on Oricon Daily Chart since the first day that on sale. hey also have sheckhand event at osaka on 28th november 1999. arashi's tv drama about volleyball is called 'V no Arashi' and they also had a tv program called "Arashi no V1'

Almost everysingle of arashi is no1. in Oricon Chart and other charts in japan and each of arashi also popular in japanese teenagers group. arashi 5th single edited vertion is plused a 'call card' for joining an activity with their fans in japan and asia country. a call card has a number and password for calling to arashi. the call card can use just once! somefan could talk to arashi some could hear arashi voice message from telephone record some couldn't connect to the line because it was very busy. there was only a day that arashi had sat on station to recieve the calls. so, that means other days, the fans could only hear their voice message from the record.

arashi 6th single, they also enclosed a card again but this time called a 'lotto card' this single has the first edition and normal edition. first edition will include 5 pin-ups and both editions will include the lotto cards (3 types, first edition 2 types and normal edition 1 type). in these lotto cards have numbers written. lucky 250 purchasers who win this lotto (or lottery) and get tickets for 2 to attend the special event in september
